More than just a toddler group

Discover the heart of Alloa Tuesday Tots, where community, learning and connection come together for little ones and their grown-ups.

Our story

Alloa Tuesday Tots was founded in 2023, by a group of local childminders who wanted to create a welcoming place for young children and their grown-ups to play, learn and connect. What makes our group special is the community around it. Each week we provide a variety of thoughtfully planned play, creative and learning experiences for young children, alongside plenty of opportunity for parents and carers to meet others and have a cuppa and chat.

We aim to keep the group friendly, affordable and inclusive, with familiar faces, fantastic volunteers and a real sense of community and belonging at the heart of everything we do.

What to expect at our sessions

Each week we have a different theme, with activities planned around it to give children lots of different ways to explore, create, and learn through play. We include a messy activity, a creative or craft activity, sensory play, a STEM experience, and plenty of opportunities for open-ended play.

We have a breakfast table available from 9am with cereal, set up so children can practice independence by helping themselves. Later in the session, snack is lovingly served by our wonderful kitchen volunteers and even the food joins in with the weekly theme!

We are very lucky to have PJ Hurst of Father's Way Group on our team. He joins us when his work commitments allow and brings lots of energy to the group with music, dancing, and movement activities, all with a passion for dance, drama, and creative movement!

"Alloa Tuesday Tots is a wonderful place! My child loves the activities and I've made some great friends over a lovely cup of tea."

A happy parent from Alloa
